Netscape: Press the "Shift" on your keyboard and at the same time, still keeping "Shift" depressed, click your browser's "Refresh" button with your mouse.
Opera: Click your browser's "Reload" button.
If reloading the page does not do the trick, you have to clear your browser's cache:
IE (5-6): Choose "Tools" from the menu bar and select "Internet Options". Choose the "General" page. There you can find "Temporary Internet files". Click the "Delete Files" button.
Netscape (4): Choose "Edit" from the menu bar and select "Preferences". Choose the "Advanced" page. There you can find "Cache". Click the "Clear Memory Cache" button.
Opera (6-7): Choose "File" from the menu bar and select "Preferences". Choose "History and cache" and click "Disk cache"-section's "Empty now" button.

For Windows XP users: Windows XP operating system has a preinstalled Internet Explorer 6 which does not include Java Virtual Machine (JVM). This is the program used to play Playray's Java games. You can download and install Java from Sun's download pages download pages.
IE (6): Choose "Tools" from the menu bar and click "Internet Options". Select "Advanced" page and find "Microsoft VM". Click all checkboxes under the heading (usually 3 checkboxes). Click "OK". Close the browser and start it again.
If you use Sun's Java do NOT check the checkboxes!
If you use Sun's Java check that it's enabled:
IE (6): Select "Tools" -> "Internet Options..." -> "Advanced" -> "Java [Sun]". Check the box. Click "OK", and close browser and start it again.
Before you begin resolving Java-problems, it would be good to know which web browser you use, and if possible, which version it is. Web browser is the program that you use to "browse" the Internet - the program you are using right now to view this www-page. The more popular browsers include Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE), Netscape, Opera and Mozilla Firefox.
You can find out the name and version of your browser by choosing "Help" on the menu bar and selecting "About". This opens a window which will display the browser's name and version. Playray requires a browser with version number four (4.??) or greater.
If your web browser is MSIE or Netscape and it is older than version 4, we recommend you update your browser. Older browser tend to have problems with Java and other advanced web technologies.
Updates
Some users might experience trouble while logging in due to updates. The site can, in this case, display an error (incorrect password/nickname) while attempting to login. Make sure Java is enabled
If the games do not work on your computer, the game page is blank or nothing happens when trying to start a game, make sure that you have Java installed. If Java is installed, make sure that Java support is enabled. You can do this from your www browser settings, see next question/answer!
If you buy game time for a game, note that the time starts from the moment of purchase and continues to count down in real time (no matter whether you play the game or are logged in to Playray or not).
You can see how much game time you have left on the right side of your personal pages in the "Play Times" box.
You can download and install Flash player from Adobe's download page.
You can download and install Java from Sun's download pages.

Unfortunately, sometimes internet connections disconnect or are very slow. We can't do anything to these kinds of problems. Our goal is to create as trouble-free and fun games as possible.
If the game is slow or errors occur, it's possible that you have an old version of Java installed on your computer. You can update or install Java from Sun's download pages.
